Yin Vs. Yang - Why I'm Yin and Delaney Is Yang

Not so long ago in a state named Florida at a park known to all as Universal Studios, I came across a kiosk selling necklaces of all kinds. I was never really a big fan of fancy necklaces and what not, but two particular necklaces caught my eye. It was the symbol of yin and yang. I had always had an obsession with the teachings of yin and yang, so I decided to buy both of the necklaces and give one to my sister since we are literally bipolar opposites. After pretty much giving up an arm and leg for the two necklaces, I gave my sister the yang symbol and kept the yin symbol for myself.

Since then, people have been telling me a got it wrong. My sister, Delaney, should have gotten the yin symbol, and I should have gotten the yang symbol. NOT TRUE. I mean, yes, Delaney can be a little (and I use that loosely) evil at times, but just because she is evil doesn't mean she is yin, and here's why:

Yin:
- Feminine (Yes, I know we are both females, but it is still a very important meaning)
- Moon (I can be very cold and distant at times)
- Passive (I am extremely passive when it comes to others)
- Night (I am a night person, and I function best the later it gets)
- Dark/negative (I have a bit of a darker outlook on life)

Yang:
- Masculine (Again, I know neither of us are males, so just deal with it)
- Sun (Delaney enjoys be the center of attention)
- Active (Delaney actively strives for what she wants)
- Day (Delaney enjoys the day and goes to bed early since she can't really stay up that late)
- Light/positive (Delaney enjoys a world full of princesses and fashionistas...need I say more?)

And, there you have it! We are actually complete opposites (even so, I still love her), and I feel like I got the symbols right for the both of us.

- Delanna
